The nature of my role shifted from localized ownership of eReaders to Global Design Management. I grew from managing 2 UX members to be promoted and managing 9-11 researchers and designers across Germany and Canada. I also had dotted-line ownership to the Japan team’s staff with their obligation in uniting our codebase through React. I was able to structure an approach that would grow my team’s capabilities and function beyond UI and into Product Design Strategy.
